I’m a Nutritional Therapist and Menopause Specialist in West Sussex, UK, helping women all over the world.  

I specialise in treating women’s menopause issues and hormonal imbalances to help women look and feel their best at this stage of life.  

My education and training are from City University, Health Sciences Academy, Burrell Education & Cambridge College of Holistic Health.  

When I’m not helping women find their balance to work WITH their bodies, you can find me spending time with my family, checking out new beaches, and trying new hormone-friendly recipes at home.

(Introducing my menopause journey!)

For many women, their journey through the stages of menopause can be very confusing with all kinds of unexpected & unwelcome changes. I've been there too, feeling like life is so hard and all about the horrid symptoms that you are experiencing. I was 48 when I first really noticed my symptoms but I now realise I had been having milder ones for at least 5 years prior to that.

I was suffering from everything and more..

  • Exhaustion - needed Nanna Naps every afternoon  
  • Insomnia - Hello 2am EVERY. Single. Night!
  • Horrendous periods that came every 14-21 days and lasted for 10-14 days (I bled through a super plus Tampax in 10 minutes whilst at a friends house and with no change of clothes. I looked like I had been in a horror movie.)
  • Mood swings
  • Anger problems - my road rage attacks are legendary and shameful.
  • Lost all my confidence and had to give up my business because I couldn't even talk to clients.
  • Totally lost my mojo and any interest in myself or sex. 
  • Couldn't be bothered to wash my hair - it was a great day if I showered let alone got dressed! 
  • Crying at EVERYTHING - Look at that cute kitten - BOOHOO and floods of tears.
  • Inability to finish a sentence - my daughter invented a game - guess what Mum's trying to say. I was Googling early onset dementia as I was sure I had it and would need to be put in a home.
  • Anxiety especially in the night when I would imagine ALL kinds of crazy stuff - hubby dying in a car crash, daughter being kidnapped!
  • Palpitations
  • Inability to tolerate ANY kind of stress. 
  • Overwhelmed at the slightest situation, and unable to make decisions. 

"I felt totally isolated, alone and constantly lonely. I couldn’t talk to my friends about it so I just stopped talking to any of them. I stopped going out - for 6 months the only time I left the house was to drive my daughter to college. I didn't know or like myself anymore."

I was never happy and I never felt like…me.

I was in YOUR position..

I know what it’s like to live a life that is so out of balance that it seems nearly impossible to believe that a few simple lifestyle changes can fix it.

But I knew something had to change.

I read everything I could to uncover the root cause of my symptoms, and finally figured out what was wrong with me. 

PERIMENOPAUSE!

A stage of life I had never even heard of previously.

I set about figuring out how to fix it, did more research and tried a few different options.  

Once I worked it all out it took me about 2 weeks to see some improvements and within 3 months I was feeling so much better.  

And after 6 months I’d got rid of ALL my symptoms.

How does my life look NOW? 🔥

  • I live a healthy, balanced, vibrant life that allows me to feel better than I have in years, have a thriving social life, and connect in a meaningful way with my husband.
  • I'm 57 and have been mostly symptom free for over 8 years.    
  • Oh, and my periods became pain free and regular again so I'm still in perimenopause which is a VERY good thing (although I've not now had a period since April 2022).  
  • I sleep well, I'm mostly calm, I can cope with stress, finish sentences, don't cry!  
  • I'm confident and shower EVERY day and even dress! Yay me!!
  • I see my friends and family again. And can function like a human being again, and even work full time.  
  • No more anxiety or crazy thoughts. No more Nanna naps! I'm full of energy and love life again - I get out of bed every day full of enthusiasm.  
  • Basically, I feel like 'ME' again, but maybe an even better version... and I like who I've become.  
  • I'm actually thankful now because.... Having been in the health and well-being field since 1993 I had been in a bit of a rut, but I realised that there were probably other women feeling like me too. Feeling confused & overwhelmed and looking for answers.   
  • This was when I began to think that there had to be a better way to address this common issue. 
  • Before discovering the exact steps I could take to regain control over my hormones, I could only wish for a day where I didn’t want to cancel plans because I felt so drained or not snap at my partner because of my incessant mood swings.
